Advisory, September: Introduction to Grade 11,
Distribution of PSAT Information, and
Distribution of College Fair information
October: PSAT Exam (recommended for 11th graders);
Sign up in the School Counseling Office during first two weeks of October
October: College Fair- 3rd Monday of month 8:15-9:30am
Parent Evening Program December: “How to Pay for College”
Advisory, December/January: PSAT Results Presentation and Goal Setting
Advisory, January: Junior College Planning Meeting
Advisory January/February: College Search Lesson/Naviance – Computer Lab
Advisory February: Presentation on Course Selection and online scheduling process
March: Junior College Planning & College Panel Evening (7pm)
March: Registration for Senior courses
February - April: Individual meetings to discuss your future plans (College/military/employment)
May, 1st Saturday of the month: SAT Exam (register at www.collegeboard.com)
Advisory May: Resume Workshop - Computer lab
June, 1st Saturday of the month : SAT Exam
Throughout the year:
Continue to focus on your studies by:
Attending school
Studying for tests/quizzes
Completing all homework
Seeking out extra help from teachers
Your counselors are available to answer any questions and assist you when needed. Please sign up for an appointment with Mrs. Pacyna, School Counseling Secretary
Remember that grades are cumulative and hard work pays off!!!
